Summer Nights

Where: Sørenga, Oslo

An area by the seaside of Oslo, with lots of bathing space, restaurants and city life. We chose to retreat to the calmer side in the shadows of the dock because the weather was especially hot this day.

I’ve recently been growing more and more fond of my own city. Maybe it’s the summer weather? Anyway I’ve been exploring more places that I don’t usually hang out at. I’ve also been walking around by myself, exploring and enjoying the peaceful seaside of the city. Oslo has been amazing these last few days, I really hope the weather stays like this all summer. A girl can dream, right?

Do I shop my outfits any other places than BikBok? Apparently not, haha.

How has your summer been so far? Is it hot in your country?

OOTD: Sunny Days in Oslo

I’m back! It’s been forever and I’m so so sorry. There’s really no excuse, but the fact that I think I’ve just been uninspired and tired. But summer is finally here and I will use it to my advantage to get up some lovely posts for you guys!

18817700_1339813076101372_1369032046_o

On Friday, me and my sister had a lovely dinner at Olivia Tjuvholmen, which is an Italian restaurant in Oslo. I have very good experiences with the food there and it’s not very expensive, which makes it an easy option on a sunny day!

My outfit:
Jacket – Gina Tricot | Top – Brandy Melville | Skirt – H&M | Shoes – Converse

The weather has been amazing the last few days! Only sunny days and it’s been extremely hot. Too bad I’m stuck inside studying for my exams all day. But, in a week it will all be over and I’ll finally have a well deserved summer vacay!

How’s your week been? Have you had sunny weather as well?

Sunset Walks

Allthough my outfits tend to be very monochrome, I find contrasts so beautiful. A white snowy road meets the red sky. White shirt and black jeans. The cold weather meets the warmth of the sun. Lately we’ve been blessed with more sun, it’s getting lighter outside and I can feel myself getting lighter inside as well. We are slowly saying goodbye to the cold and dark winter and welcoming spring(well, not yet though, this is Norway after all).

img_3867

In this post I thought I would show you an outfit that I feel reflect very well on my personal style. If I could I would probably have worn this every day, but let’s pretend I didn’t say that. Wouldn’t want anyone to think I’m boring.

This outfit is put together by both old and new items. A white shirt that I’ve had since forever, a black belt that I found hidden in the back of my closet and cannot even remember how I got, some fairly new black jeans and my all time favorite and beloved grey woollen coat.

I’m also wearing some really cool socks from Monki, with a dog riding a bicycle on them. Just thought you should know.

These photos made me realize I want to shoot more in the early sunsets. The lighting is so magical. A big thank you to my little sister who gets dragged out in whatever weather and forced on these walks with me to take photos, you da best.

Hope you are all doing amazing. I have had my winter holidays this week and I must say, I could really get used to not having to go to school everyday. The week has so far consisted of 80% watching Bates Motel on Netflix and 20% homework. Do not follow my example, kids. Now that I’ve watched all the seasons that are out on Netflix so far I might be able to be a bit productive before the weekend comes. Wish me luck.

How has your week been so far?

Colorful Walls

Where: a parking lot near Grønland in Oslo, which I discovered the other day is now a building area. Thought I’d use these “old” photos to reminisce about this little grafitti wall with its bright colors.

Time for a Haul

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope you’ve all come off to a good start of 2017! As the title implies: New Year, New Me, New Clothes. Well, not really. I’m actually quite happy with where I am as a person now and for the new year I will try to embrace that and develop even more as a person. Clothingwise I haven’t really found much of any interest in the sales this season, but there are a few pieces that I just couldn’t resist(some of them weren’t even on sale, I just had to have them)!

BikBok Billy Pullover in Pastel Pink.

img_3645

img_3641

I feel like this is the type of sweather that you don’t even need to touch to know that it’s soft, you can just see it. And it’s so soft. I’m also loving this pastel pink color as it really brightens up any outfit for winter.

img_3695

BikBok Will t-shirt with Roses.

img_3696

I just thought this t-shirt was so cool and unique, and at the same time very simple. Perfect to spice up an all black outfit. I later found out that there’s another version of this t-shirt with little birds on it and it’s so pretty. Perfect to combine with light denim in the summer. I will go back to get it. (Find it here).

img_3710

BikBok Mia Sweater, Furry Black.

img_3711

img_3701

I used to own a sweater like this and I loved it so much, but somehow it just disappeared and I’ve never found it again. So when I found this (almost) replica of it I got really happy. It’s super fluffy and cosy and also really warm.

img_3762

The next one isn’t clothing, but this beautiful notebook. If you didn’t know I am a great Harry Potter fan and this classic black book caught my eye instantly. Not to mention, I have an obsession for pretty stationairy. The only problem is that it’s so pretty that I don’t want to waste the use of it. I want to use it for something really nice. Any ideas?

img_3765

Lastly I bought this white lace bralette from Lindex tha I just found so delicate and pretty. It made me think that I need to find a way to combine lace more in my outfits, it can be so beautiful if worn the right way.

Thank you so much for reading. As you may see, I’ve done some small changes to my design. I’m really working on keeping my blog top quality and well written for the new year so that I can be proud of everything I post. I’m thinking about doing a Q&A post some time in the near future as well, so if you have any questions you’re dying to get answered, please include them in your comment, that would mean a lot! Hope you’re all having a great day. You’re all amazing.

Burgundy, Baby

It’s November and almost just a month till Christmas is here. Sadly, our snow has left us and we’re left embracing the Fall season again. Nothing wrong with being able to bring out my brand new bomber for it’s first city walk without freezing my arms off, though.

img_3419

I’m all about a good color match. Therefore, when I saw this cute little street with it’s burgundy bricks and the red fence in the background I simply had to take advantage. Don’t get me wrong, being all matchy-matchy doesn’t always look fabulous, but I think this combo worked out quite well.

I love finding inspiration in my surroundings. Whether I’m on the bus, looking through the window at home or walking through the park I’m always alert of what’s around me and how it all feels. I think it’s called mindfullness. And I’m so happy I discovered this little street. Think I’ll have to go back one day for more photos. Make sure you always let your surroundngs inspire you and not let you down. See the positive side of things.

My outfit details can be found in my previous post here, which is also full of photos inspired by my surroundings. And also, while we’re at the shameless self-promo..(here’s my insta as well).

Hope you are all having a lovely Saturday. Mine is a chilled one, trying to gather enough energy to survive my exams nest week. Gahh..

Wednesday’s Shopping Trip

So, as I mentioned in my previous blog post, me and my friend, Elise, had a little shopping trip on Wednesday. As I also mentioned, I wasn’t really supposed to buy anything. I guess you all probably see how well that plan went… Shopping ban on you from now on, Ingrid.

Anyways, I thought I’d run you through what I bought as I am truly pleased with everything and will without doubt be wearing them a lot. All of the pieces, especially the two jackets, are things I’ve been thinking about buying for a long time. Justifyes spending money on them a little more, right?….

1. MONKI Bomber Jacket.

img_3405img_3404

As some of you may recall I did a blog post a long time ago along the lines of “Fall Essentials” where I raged about the bomber jackets and how much I wanted one. Thing is, every time I’ve tried one on in the store I’ve just felt like it didn’t suit me at all or just made me look puffy and weird, so when I finally came across one that suited me I just had to purchase it, even though it’s a little bit cold for one now. A bomber jacket is a great transition jacket for both Fall and Spring, so I will definitely get a lot of use out of this one. (Will probably wear it in Winter as well, yolo)

2. MONKI Coat.

img_3406
img_3408
img_3410

Next up, this very cute black coat which I think will be perfect for the more dressed up occations. I’ve figured that a coat will never go off trend and is therefore always the perfect Fall/Winter jacket. This one can also be worn in many different ways, opened or closed, depending on what style you are going for.

3. MONKI Burgundy Scarf.

img_3391
img_3393

Can you tell we spend a lot of time in Monki? Hahah.
Monki is actually one of my favorite clothing stores, and even though I only went for basic clothing this time, they have so many unique and colorful pieces. Especially their sock collection, loving it, haha. Anyways, a huge blanket scarf always comes in handy in these cold months and as I only have a grey one I thought I needed one with some color as well. I also really want to get a scarf in mustard, but this time I went for burgundy.

4. BikBok Burgundy Headband.

img_3416
img_3417

I’m actually really about the headbands these days as they serve both the purpose of looking pretty as well as keeping your ears warm. I spotted this perfect velvet headband near the cashier desk at BikBok and I knew I had to pick it up. It is so soft and comfy, and at the same time makes me look oh so, Blair Waldorf-y(in a good way).

5. BikBok Beige Pants.

img_3399
img_3396

I spotted these pants at BikBok and I told my friend that “I really want a pair of pants like these, but I never know when I could wear them as I feel they are so formal!”
We then came to the agreement that I could wear the pants whenever I wanted to and when I saw how well they fitted me, especially in the waist, I was sold. These pants are literally so comfortable as well. It’s like wearing PJ’s to a party, yayy. Definitely hope to get a lot of use outta these.

Hope you are all having a wonderful Friday and heading in for a wonderful weekend as well! I will hopefully get a fun outfit post up on Sunday/Monday!

PS: I passed 200 followers on here the other day! Thank you soo much to everyone for all your support and being so lovely all the time. It means the world. x

PPS: I have an Instagram and it’s @ingsepingsen and it’s kinda cool.

OOTD: The Perfect Coat

Hello, I hope you are all having a lovely start to the week!

To me, it is a week full of studying. I feel like I have so much work to do and I don’t really know where to start. I have been reading and making notes about ‘Motivation and Emotion’ since about 11 am though, so I feel like I’ve been a little bit productive. Anyways, you probably didn’t click this post to hear me complain about uni. Here is my outfit of the day:

img_3100

| Coat – URBAN | Turtleneck – My mothers closet | Jeans – BIKBOK | Shoes – PAVEMENT | Bag – MICHAEL KORS |

I am wearing my coat from Urban(not Urban Outfitters) which was kind of an impulsive buy from my side last year, and I am so happy I bought it. I got a tip from a friend that they had up to 50% off all their coats, so I just had to have one – what a bargainnn. I have worn it ever since. It is quite thick so you can wear it throughout the winter, but it is also perfect for fall. And I absolutely love the color(is grey a color, haha?)

img_3195

img_3196

img_3199

My Michael Kors bag is the only designer bag I own. I bought it 3 years ago in New York. I have a really ambivalent relationship with this bag. Some days I love it, some days I’m not so fond of it. I think I grew a bit tired when every other girl in high school wore it too. And I don’t like to look the same as everyone, haha. But I do like this bag. I’m really glad I went for the color that I did, though, it’s such a classic and will never really go out of style. It is also a nice medium sized bag that fits a lot.

For the first time since I got it I am not wearing my Kylie lipstick, haha. I still really wanted to wear it, as it would match everything perfectly, but I decided to be brave and switch things up a bit. Therefore I went for the NYX lingerie in the shade ‘Embellishment’ instead. And yes, my hair is in a bun, don’t we all have those days? Haha.

Now I’m gonna treat myself to a beetroot-burger, say whaat? I think it’s gonna taste really good actually. Hope you are all having a wonderful evening. ♥

Float down, like Autumn Leaves

I don’t know why, but it’s only this last year that I’ve really realized how beautiful Fall is. The leaves turning into a hundred shades of red, orange and yellow and my favorite, the air getting slightly colder, making you feel like you’re able to breathe again.

Just the other day I figured I’d  join my mom early in the morning when she went to work. This meant I got to sit in a warm car on my way to school instead of a crowded tram. My mom’s job is very close to my school, so all I had to do was walk straight through the Frogner park(one of the no.1 tourist attraction in Norway it seems). I was walking into the park when I realized that I was so early that none of the huge tourist busses had yet arrived. It was just me, the statues and the cold morning air. I have never seen the park so quiet. The way Fall had come to the park and made the leaves change into a spectrum of color amazed me and I just had to take some photos on my way. What a wonderful way to start my school day, walking through this park and enjoying it all by myself.

And just as I went out of the gate and left the park the first tourist bus arrived with tourists and their huge camera lenses practically floading the park. Timing.

I thought I’d share my little morning journey with you, step by step:

Always nice to have a chat with this little angry fella.

Then I just had to buy myself a hot chocolate, because it’s actually so cold outside?? The hot chocolate was really expensive, but then I discovered they gave me an extra large cup and I got really happy. It tasted like heaven and kept my hands warm on the rest of my walk.

I can’t believe how beautiful my little city really is and how much I love it.
Why do I want to leave so badly?

It was like, James Dean, for sure
You’re so fresh to death and sick as ca-cancer

Saturday and a weekend off from work, I am delighted and in the most chilled out mood you could ever imagine. Today’s outfit is old school and classic with a little bit of that 50’s denim vibe. I sometimes forget how much I love the simplicity of the combination white shirt and denim, it can never really go wrong. The black belt was something I found in the back of my closet today, I have no idea where it came from. What a hidden treasure.

Fall hasn’t seemed to hit Oslo by it’s full power yet, so we are still enjoying the last sunbeams of summer and the opportunity to wear t-shirts. I can feel the cold autumn wind around the corner, though, so it probably won’t be long before you see me in scarfs and knitted sweaters.

Hope you’re all having an amazing Saturday! What are you up to today?
