Summer Nights

Where: Sørenga, Oslo

An area by the seaside of Oslo, with lots of bathing space, restaurants and city life. We chose to retreat to the calmer side in the shadows of the dock because the weather was especially hot this day.

I’ve recently been growing more and more fond of my own city. Maybe it’s the summer weather? Anyway I’ve been exploring more places that I don’t usually hang out at. I’ve also been walking around by myself, exploring and enjoying the peaceful seaside of the city. Oslo has been amazing these last few days, I really hope the weather stays like this all summer. A girl can dream, right?

OOTD: Top – BikBok | Bikini – BikBok | Jeans – BikBok | Watch – Daniel Wellington | Shoes – Converse | Sunglasses – Pretty Little Thing

Do I shop my outfits any other places than BikBok? Apparently not, haha.

How has your summer been so far? Is it hot in your country?

OOTD: Sunny Days in Oslo

I’m back! It’s been forever and I’m so so sorry. There’s really no excuse, but the fact that I think I’ve just been uninspired and tired. But summer is finally here and I will use it to my advantage to get up some lovely posts for you guys!

On Friday, me and my sister had a lovely dinner at Olivia Tjuvholmen, which is an Italian restaurant in Oslo. I have very good experiences with the food there and it’s not very expensive, which makes it an easy option on a sunny day!

The weather has been amazing the last few days! Only sunny days and it’s been extremely hot. Too bad I’m stuck inside studying for my exams all day. But, in a week it will all be over and I’ll finally have a well deserved summer vacay!

How’s your week been? Have you had sunny weather as well?

Christmas Recap

Hello everyone! How has your Holidays been? My four days off of work were definitely very relaxing and I managed to re-gain a lot of lost energy. Since I’ve been a bit MIA during the Christmas times, due to work and being with family and friends, I thought I’d bring you a little Christmas recap to let you guys tag along to what I’ve been up to the days up to and after Christmas, so let’s go! PS: There’s going to be a lot of iPhone photos, so bare with me on the quality this time!

December 20th

Remember I talked about the Christmas market? I finally got to visit it together with my friend, Ida. We decided to have a full on wintery and Christmassy day and started it all off with some fun at the skating rink.

Up next, lots of Christmas goodies. I went for churros with cinnamon and sugar and Ida went for a Belgian waffle with chocolate. For drinks I got a cup of hot Chocolate(with cream!!) and Ida had Gløgg(Norwegian version of Mulled Wine).

Then of course, even though we’re both super scared of heights, we had to go on the Ferris wheel. Worst and best decision of the day. It was all idyllic and fun until we reached the top and the wheel stopped cause they were letting mote people on. We seriously froze in fear, it was so high up!!! The view was so and so as it was a very foggy day, but we could indeed see how high up we were!

The view from the Ferris wheel with the skating rink underneath us and the market and shopping street to the left! The fancy building straight ahead is the Parliament!

Spent the morning decorating the tree and the entire house for Christmas, as is the Christmas tradition in most Norwegian homes. I enjoyed this s much, really brings me back to being a kid and being all excited for Christmas. I actually think I enjoy it even more now really, haha!

This is my self-made Christmas sweater, I’m cool like that.

December 24th

The big day. In Norway we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve, meaning presents, food and dressing up all on this special evening.

My gorgeous glittery dress that I wore. Love the open back!

The evening was amazing and I just want to relive it over and over again. I didn’t take any photos of the meal that day, but I’ll show you a reconstruction(as I of course had leftovers the next day), to let you in on what we eat on Christmas Eve in Norway!

Dinner is either pork, lamb or fish mostly, depending on where in the country you’re from. In my family we eat pork. The main dish being ribs and then next to it, sausages and meatballs(they’re not really meatballs, just couldn’t find a better English word), potatoes, of course, and then two types of sauerkraut and mustard.

For dessert: rice cream/risalamande/riskrem with raspberry sauce! This is literally the best thing in the world. Get at it if you ever have the chance.

December 25th

The next day was spent in my PJ’s and slippers digging into all the leftovers and wathcing Vampire Diaries. It was not a productive day AT ALL. Exactly how Christmas Day is supposed to be!

The last days have been more back to normal. And back to work, ugh. Been really spoilt with my dad making us so many amazing dishes for dinner, including his soon to be world famous pizza. Just look at this piece of art:

One word: HEAVEN.

Hope you enjoyed this little recap. I probably won’t be seing you until next year now, so I hope you all have a very lovely day tomorrow, stay safe and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Today in Pictures

You know those days when you’ve actually got a full schedule and it just feels so good to be both productive and social? Today was one of those days. First I did some revision in school before I met up with my friend, Elise, in the city. We had planned to go for a little shopping trip, and allthough it was actually her that wanted to buy some stuff I kinda ended up splurging a bit myself – no worries, you’ll get a haul! After busting our wallets shopping we had a nice sit down at a cafe and got to catch up a little bit. Later in the evening me and my family went to my uncles new appartment for a real pizza party. We seriously ordered so much pizza and I’m beyond full right now. Not to mention, he had cake.

I brought my camera along today in hopes of maybe doing an outfit shoot, but we lost ourselves completely in the shopping and totally forgot. BUT I have planned a photoshoot with Elise on Sunday and we’ve discussed fun locations and everything, so look forward to that! Even though there weren’t any outfit pictures, I thought I’d share some pictures from my day with you.

I got so excited when I saw that they had put up Christmas lights in the streets. But to my major dissapointment they didn’t light up when it became dark… What even.

All in all, such a lovely day. Keep your eyes peeled – both a haul and an awesome outfit photoshoot coming your way this weekend!

Remember to check out my Instagram, I would love to see your accounts as well!

OOTD: Old Chevy Truck

Hello lovelies! Hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday. This weekend has been an absolute rush and I am so glad we got an extra hour of sleep today because we set back the time. From Friday to Saturday me and my mom had a little girls trip to Sweden, always nice to have some quality time with one of the most special persons in my life. When we came back Saturday evening I rushed straight to the city to meet up with some friends and go to a stand-up gig, it was so much fun. Then I went straight from the comedy to a Halloween party in the appartment of one of my uni friends. Since I was in such a rush my costume ended up being the oh so original ‘mouse ears and whiskers’, but hey, at least I could make Mean Girls references all night.

Today is my mothers birthday, so we are going out for dinner in about an hour. I hope she gets the best birthday ever, this wonderful woman who is my number one supporter in everything I do. Anyway, here’s todays birthday dinner outfit, shot in front of my dads old Chevy. Excuse them dusty wheels.

Shirt – CUBUS | Jeans – CARLINGS | Shoes – PAVEMENT | Scarf – H&M | Bag – NELLY

Went for a very simple and comfy outfit, as per usual. This scarf is so comfortable and warm, I probably wear it every day. A must for Fall. Can’t believe it’s the last day of October tomorrow. Time is going by so fast and I am not keeping up, haha. Just ready for Exams to be over and Christmas to arrive.

What are you up to this Sunday?
